Sensei June first became interested in martial arts at the young age of 11 but was not able to pursue her passion for the martial arts until later in life. Once she received a gift from her family for her first martial arts class, She fell in love with martial arts and has been training ever since.

From her first class, June knew that training in the martial arts was going to be life changing. With the support of her family, they encouraged her to put away her fears of starting later in life and to go after her childhood dream of becoming a martial artist.

Sensei June has nearly 30 years experience in training and teaching martial arts. Every day, June continues to enjoy all of the facets that training in the martial arts has to offer.

When Sensei June is outside of the Dojo, she enjoys working in the yard, gardening, and taking care of the landscaping. She is an avid reader and enjoys spending time with her family and five amazing grandchildren.

Both on and off the mat, Sensei June is fully committed to helping others achieve their full potential. Encouraging all of her students to strive for their best, become physically stronger, and mentally tougher. Most importantly, June strives to help everyone achieve all of their goals and succeed in life!

Sensei Natalie’s favorite thing about the martial arts is the quest to get better each and every day. What started as an extracurricular activity has turned into something she loves. She enjoys that the Dojo is a place to call home, with an extended family of students and Sensei to be her friends.

Outside of the dojo, Natalie is working towards becoming a veterinarian. Actively pursuing a bachelor’s degree in biology at the University of Toledo. After Nathan’s stent as a competitive swimmer, he resumed his martial arts journey studying both Karate and Judo in college.

In 2011 was searching for a deeper connection with his daughter Natalie.  They came up with an idea doing something that we both would enjoy. On the way home he saw a sign for Karate at the AMA dojo.  He then asked his daughter Natatle if she would like to do that together. It started off just 2 days a week then they really got into it and started going 5 to 6 days a week.  Then they started doing competitions and it just became a part of life.  At the dojo he enjoys teaching classes and getting everybody involved.
