Kaylyn started training in martial arts in third grade. At the age of 19, She now has over 11 years of experience. Sensei Kaylyn earned her 1st dan black belt at age 14 and went on to win multiple national and world titles. After years of actively competing on an international level, Sensei Kaylyn tested for her 2nd Dan black belt and in 2021 she received her second-degree black belt.
For years martial arts has played such a big part in Kaylyn’s life. Not only has the study of the martial arts educated her to protect herself, it has given her the tools to succeed in life on and off the mat. The life long friendships she has gained because of martial arts led her to continue martial arts journey. The camaraderie and friendly competition pushed her to be the best she could be.
Kaylyn attends Kent State where she loves to dance for the Flashet dance team and also enjoys a good nap! Aside from the dojo Kaylyn’s favorite place to go is a Michigan game. Some hobbies that Kaylyn does are reading, workout and learning how to weld. One of Kaylyn’s biggest goals is to spread what she has learned in the martial arts over the years to anyone who will listen.
